Santa Monica, California

I spent this last weekend in California! It was fun to visit my family! We spent Saturday at the beach in Santa Monica. We rollerbladed up and down the boardwalk. We watched the people fly kites, and build sand castles. At the end of the Santa Monica pier, there's an amusement park with rides. We got cheese pizza for lunch on the boardwalk. It was a great day!

The water was definitely chilly! It was a windy day- so many people were out flying kites. I especially liked this one!!
Even with the cold water, there were plenty of swimmers and surfers out enjoying the day!
Here's the Santa Monica pier.

Albuquerque & Santa Fe, New Mexico

I flew down to Albququerque, New Mexico for my friend Shae's sealing.

We drove up to Santa Fe to see the sights. It was a neat little town.

I'd like to go back to New Mexico in the fall to see the Hot Air Balloon festival!

Lake Tahoe

I didn't think I was going to get to go skiing this year... because of my Australia/New Zealand trip!
But luckily, there was still decent snow in March! My friend Dave and I were going to drive up to Snowbowl in Flagstaff. But we figured out that with his flight benefits & the change in time zone, it would be faster to fly to Reno and just drive up to Lake Tahoe! (and about the same price too!!) So we had a one day ski trip! Flew up that morning, rented a car, drove about 45 minutes to Tahoe, skied all day, drove back, flew home on the last flight out of Reno. Yeehaw!!! Exausting, but so fun! Yeah!! It was spring skiing conditions. Sunny, with soft snow. And it was awesome!
